Unity, Allina Health SANE Position

The Unity Sexual Assault and Forensic Nurse Program is looking for nurses who have a sincere interest in helping patients who are experiencing acute violent encounters in their lives. This is a great opportunity to develop and/or improve forensic nursing expertise.  If you are caring and non-judgmental this position may be of interest to you. Excellent communication, nursing assessment, and critical thinking skills are essential. This position is casual and requires 48-64 hours of call per month depending on previous forensic nursing experience. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have taken the 40 Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner course. Have you ever wondered what happens to evidence after you lock it up? Here is your chance to see what happens to evidence in Minneapolis.

Tour of the Minneapolis Police Property Evidence room and networking on June 25, 2015

Meet at 5:45 pm Minneapolis City Hall, 350 South 5th St., Rm 33 at for a one hour tour.

RSVP  There is only space for 10 on the tour, or meet us at 7 pm at Day Block brewing

7:00 – 9:00 pm  Networking at Day Block Brewing 1105 Washington Ave S. Minneapolis, MN 55415

Meet outside the City Hall (or just inside if raining that evening) at 5:45pm. The entrance outside is located mid block on S. Fifth, between 3rd and 4th Ave.  The Hennepin County Jail is kitty-corner from where we are meeting, if that helps with references. The tour will start at 6 pm as that is when it officially closes to the general public.

Park at Day Block Brewing and walk to Minneapolis City Hall (0.8 miles/15 minute walk)

  • Limited free parking behind the building (no parking in the Grumpy’s lot)
  • Free parkingin Valspar fenced lot
    • Entrance on 3rd Street
    • Weekdays: After 5pm
    • Weekends: All day
    • All Days: Lot closes one hour after we close
  • $.25/hour meters on 3rd Street
  • $1/hour meters throughout the neighborhood
